Terms

Last updated May 23, 2026

These terms cover the use of Crucible — the website at readcrucible.com and its articles. By reading the site, you agree to what follows. We have kept it short and in plain language; if anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it.

Using Crucible

You are welcome to read, link to, quote, and share Crucible freely. In return, we ask only that you do not:

  • copy or republish whole articles elsewhere as if they were your own;
  • use the site in a way that disrupts it for other readers, or that tries to break, overload, or probe it;
  • scrape it abusively, or misrepresent who you are or your relationship with Crucible.

Normal reading, normal sharing, and reasonable quotation with credit are all fine — and encouraged.

Our content

The articles, illustrations, the Crucible name, and the wordmark are the work of Crucible and its contributors, and are protected by copyright. You may read them, link to them, and quote short passages with a clear credit and a link back. Republishing a full article, redistributing the site's content, or using it commercially needs our written permission first — just ask.

Quotations, figures, and references drawn from other sources within an article belong to those sources and are credited in the prose.

Sending us your work

Crucible accepts pitches and field notes by email. When you send us something for possible publication, you confirm that it is your own work and yours to share, and you give us permission to edit it and to publish it on the site. You keep the copyright to your own words. We do not pay for unsolicited submissions unless we agree otherwise, in writing, before publication.

Links to other sites

Crucible links to other websites where they are useful or relevant. Those sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement.

Not professional advice

Crucible writes about building companies — product, growth, operations, money, and the rest. The articles are journalism and informed opinion. They are not legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for it. Decisions about your own company are yours; for anything that carries real consequences, talk to a qualified professional who knows your situation.

Availability

Crucible is provided as it is. We work to keep the site accurate, current, and online, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or up to date. We may change, pause, or retire any part of the site — or these terms — as the publication evolves.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Crucible is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from reliance on anything published here, or from any interruption to the site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the "last updated" date at the top of the page will change. Continuing to use Crucible after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Questions

Crucible is an independent publication produced from the MENA region. If you have a question about these terms, or a concern about something on the site, write to info@readcrucible.com — we would rather hear from you and sort it out directly.
